Take a guided tour or stroll at Victoria's attractions are so many, that when visiting Victoria attractions and Vancouver Island attractions, you are more likely to run out of time than run out of things to do.                                                                    Salt Spring Island










Every Saturday from April 4 to the last Saturday in October Ganges puts on Canada's best loved outdoor Arts, crafts and farm market. The amazing Ganges Saturday Market is Salt Springs #1 attraction. 
Explore sunken wrecks at Princess Margaret Marine Park, one of several excellent diving locations accessible only by boat. 
Pamper yourself at a day spa offering massage, body wraps, mineral baths, shiatsu and other spa packages. 
Hike to the top of Mount Maxwell, the highest point on Salt Spring Island, and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy along with an inspiring view. 
Visit the Native artifacts museum at Fulford Harbour. Check details at the Visitor Info Centre in Ganges. 
Rent a bicycle and spend hours cycling the paved roads, stopping along the way to pick berries, birdwatch, or enjoy tempting treats at the various honor stands on the Island. 
Ruckle Park and Mount Maxwell provincial parks offer miles of forested trails, for off-road enthusiasts, in a serene and scenic environment. Trails range from moderate to difficult. Pick up a Studio Tour Map for information on when the many local artists and artisans, including potters, weavers, glass blowers and painters open their studios for tours.

Hike the interpretive Enchanted Forest trail or the more difficult 217 meter, half-hour climb to Mount Norman and its incredible panoramic views. 
20 public beaches for beach combing, kayaking, swimming or picnicking. Swim in one of several outdoor heated pools or off the wharf at the south end of Magic Lake which is known for its warm water. 
Bring diving gear and explore the underwater world or rent a kayak and tour the coastline and surrounding waters. 
From May to October, shop for local produce and arts and crafts at the Farmer's Market held at the Driftwood Centre. 
Attend the many craft fairs, poetry readings, and exhibitions held throughout the year.

Kayak, canoe or scuba dive in the bays; equipment rentals available on the island. Hike through the forest in Mount Park Regional Park or spend an afternoon basking in the sun at Bennett Bay Beach.

Cycle the Island's roadways, follow the trail leading to the beautiful swimming beach at Campbell Bay, just one of many public beaches that offer swimming in warm, sheltered waters.

Enjoy a burger and a pint of beer at the famous Hummingbird Pub. Rent a bicycle at cycle along miles of country lanes and stop for a picnic on a secluded beach or in a a shaded grove. Kayak year-round in the calm waters along the Island's coast or take a guided tour. Lessons are also available.  Wander along the trails at Gray Peninsula in Montague Harbour Provincial Park, once the site of an ancient Native village. 
Dive into the clean, clear coastal waters and explore the abundant variety of marine life. Hike the length of Bodega Ridge or climb to the top of Mount Galiano to capture the views of the Olympic Mountains.

Hike to the top of Mount Warburton Pike for a spectacular panoramic view of the Gulf Islands, San Juan Islands and Vancouver Island. 
Join the community for the yearly Lamb Barbecue on Canada Day, July 1st, a tradition that began in 1950. Celebration is held at Winter Cove Marine Park and draws visitors from all over the Pacific Northwest. 
Winter Cove Marine Park also features beaches, a picnic area, walking trails, a tidal marsh with abundant bird life. 
On-shore whale watching opportunities at East Point Park, spectacular scenery and a good swimming beach.
